It’s not so much what damage occurred, but the sources of that damage and how long before the problem was addressed.”</em></p>

The    average foreclosure sales price  was $124,637 compared to an average    sales price of $160,540, a $35,903  savings. <span>1 in every 459 </span>housing    units received a  foreclosure filing in May 2010.</p>

<p>Home price appreciation remained was 0.0% in May and the number     of new foreclosures totaled  249.</p>
