There were 1,419 Alachua County and Gainesville FL foreclosure homes in May with 249 new foreclosures, according to RealtyTrac.com. The average foreclosure sales price was $124,637 compared to an average sales price of $160,540, a $35,903 savings. 1 in every 459 housing units received a foreclosure filing in May 2010.

There were 1,523 Alachua County and Gainesville FL foreclosure homes in January with 231 new foreclosures, according to RealtyTrac.com. The average foreclosure sales price was $136,586 compared to an average sales price of $163,202, a $26,347 savings. 1 in every 490 housing units received a foreclosure filing in January 2010.

Alachua County foreclosure homes declined slightly in September with 222 new foreclosures for a total of 1,334 foreclosed homes, according to RealtyTrac.com. The average foreclosure sales price was $164,367 compared to an average sales price of $169,823, a difference of $5,456. 1 in every 6,323 housing units received a foreclosure filing in September 2009
